Bolt on Gen V Viper vs. ByDesign Stage IV Porsche 991.1 Turbo S
This is a hell of a run by the Viper. The car only has bolt on modifications. We're talking Belanger headers, an intake, cat delete, and an ecu flash tune through HP Tuners. That level of modification on the 8.4 liter V10 will result in roughly 600 to the wheels on pump gas.
The 911 Turbo S not only has the advantage of a PDK transmission compared to the manual in the Viper it also has upgraded turbochargers. Readers here should be familiar with the ByDesign Stage IV package as member @Markblackwell has it and has run 9.7 @ 143 in the 1/4 mile with it.
This Viper won't trap 143 and ByDesign Stage IV packages are not all created equal as there are other mods one can do. Also, race gas is a huge factor. The 991 Turbo S here is running pump gas. That means it isn't making the 747 to the wheels one can hit on race gas.
Still, incredible showing by the naturally aspirated Viper with just basic mods.

there is a gas station within 2 miles of my house that has vp101 so 90 % of the time that's what I run I only have 91 in it on long trips. So I never really race it with pump. I think it made around 630 to the wheels on pump.

this was a 40mph roll I had a passenger, tune only with 200 cell cats
FBO viper with nitrous he did not use the bottle. My kid didn't have the camara on the viper at the end but he was creeping up and got me by a fender. I let off at the cones and he keep his foot in it a little longer it was a great race

I got the PDK back on October 6th put 70 miles on it then ran the Mojave magnum on the 8th and long story short we had problems with high oil level and Positive crank case ventilation and the car blew oil through the entire system and went into limp mode and shut down at 205mph which was 210 on the speedo on my first and only run at a DA of 4,050. The speedo was moving incredible fast until is wasn't. So we missed shift sector which we are hoping for 180 in the half mile. I am also signed up for the Red list Dec 3rd, which I dont think we are going to make, With any luck we will have the car back on the Road in 2 weeks and shooting for sub 9.50's at 146ish conservative estimate.
Cheers
Welcome...
