SEMA 2014 - A visit with HRE Wheels
HRE had another strong showing at SEMA with some impressive hardware in their booth. Yes, that is a Porsche 991 GT3 you see there. Yes, that also is a Porsche 918 Spyder you see wearing HRE wheels. How HRE managed to get a Porsche 918 Spyder in their booth only they know but if you were to bet on someone getting such prized hardware displaying their wheels it would be HRE.
HRE had a variety of their wheels in a variety of finishes on display. On the GT3 they showed off their center locking wheels which obviously have a nice race inspired touch. Of the two styles displayed on the GT3 the gold looked better in person.
On the Huracan a bronze finished and then a more traditionally finished forged S101 were featured. It is personal preference but the gunmetal wheels on the passenger side seemed to flow better with the white Lamborghini.
The 918 Spyder also featured center locking HRE wheels. It is safe to say that if your wheels are featured on a car of this pedigree and they look like they belong there well then they will not look out of place on anything in the automotive marketplace.
HRE's president Alan Peltier was at the booth entertaining guests and answering questions. He was very busy as the booth was packed so I did not get a chance to speak to him. I did not want to bother him and the wheels spoke for themselves anyway.
HRE also had the Flow Form wheels separate from the forged series which is smart. They are doing a good job positioning Flow Form as a separate entity in function, style, and value.
What more is there to say? I run HRE Wheels on my own car for a reason. Enjoy the pictures.
