This is a stock Porsche 991 Turbo S cabriolet pulling away from a 458 Italia on a runway

This is an interesting video as it puts a previous 911 Turbo vs. 458 Italia race in perspective. Last month a race was posted showing a tuned 997.2 generation Turbo going up against a stock Ferrari 458 Italia and a stock Ferrari 458 Italia Speciale. The tuned 997.2 Turbo won that battle against the two 458's but seeing a tuned turbocharged Porsche beat stock Ferraris is not exactly shocking. This is a matchup with a stock 991 generation Turbo S cabriolet against a stock 458 Italia.

The 911 Turbo still comes out on top and the 991 Turbo S looks again like it performs slightly quicker than a tune only 997.2 Turbo. This being the convertible version means it is even heavier than the 991 Turbo coupe making the performance that much more impressive. The 991 Turbo S here looks incredibly fast with the easy work it makes of the 458.

Wow...unreal. Check out the video of this same car vs. the Speciale...makes a respectable showing. If it was a coupe...I'd have to say they might be about even. Once again...Turbo S is just a weapon and a bargain.

Iit is a car geared for 0-60 mph and above 650 hp it will need some major internal effort..........

I'm thinking it might be. If the 458 didn't jump it might have gone differently. Too bad it's not a coupe so we can see the real comparison...although this makes me optimistic.
