Ferrari is looking at splitting the 458 family in to two models - one slightly smaller and less expensive, likely powered by a 2.9L TT V6. The other version will remain V8 powered. The article claims the 2.9L choice is based on taxes implications in "increasingly important" China where cars with 3.0L engines are taxed at a higher rate. Makes sense.
