Defending champion Corvette Racing took the victory at this past weekend's Long Beach Grand Prix. Corvette Racing impressively got both of their entries on the podium due to their 1-3 finish. BMW also got on the podium thanks to a second place finish from the number 56 Z4 GTE. BMW's second Z4 (number 55) finished in 6th place. Keep in mind it is still early in the season but here are the USC (United Sportscar Championship) GTLM standings after three races.

Porsche is in first place with 100 points followed by BMW with 94. SRT is doing an impressive job with the new Vipers sitting one point in front of Chevy in third place with 90. Ferrari is in last place with 80 points.

Corvette Racing won the Long Beach Grand Prix in their new C7R which seems to be running much stronger. They dominated the race leading all but two laps. Drivers Antonio Garcia and Jan Magnussen took the victory and Magnussen had this to say, "It was an important victory for the team. The whole time we had a fast car. We just didn't make the most of it with reliability issues at both Daytona and Sebring. I couldn't be happier for Antonio, myself and this entire team.”

The next Grand Prix is May 3rd-4th in Monterey. There is a long way to go but Chevy's strong result bodes well for the rest of the season.
