Volkswagen to compete with the Mercedes-Benz CLA? MKVII Golf to get four-door coupe Golf CC variant, renderings

It seems the new Mercedes-Benz CLA has everyone scrambling for a competitor. Audi launched their answer which is the entry level A3 sedan and Volkswagen is now rumored to get into the mix with a Golf CC. There is no official confirmation of this and it is simply a rumor but renderings surfaced of what such a vehicle may look like. From a business standpoint it makes sense as the car would be lighter and sportier than the Passat CC as well as come with a cheaper price tag.

The renderings look fantastic and if this gets the green light and actually happens there is little reason to doubt the model would be successful especially with how well received the Passat CC has been. Picture renderings below.
