Are you stock right now? I would consider an Intake for the first mod.

APR always makes good intakes. It looks like a good piece. You should pick it up since it's on sale too!

Thank you for the help.. I also got another question! I was looking at the 09 golf 2.5L mod upgrades on apr and i came across their stage 1 ecu upgrade. I did a little research and found out that both golf n jetta engine are similar meaning their layout, codes and also both are inline 5s. But the only thing i could find was if they have the same programming in the stock ecu?

    This is the inline-5 right?

Do you think a separate forum for the VW inline-5 is necessary from the Audi TFSI inline-5?

    I'm leaning toward yes here.

That is a tough question to answer. I will say No because of ECU. I believe the 09's have the availability for an ECU tune because it is straight from OBD2 port. However 2010's+ have a different ECU that will most likely need to be pulled out and have some chip soldering etc. That goes with the GTI platform. I'm guessing this is the same way for the Golf/Jetta 2.5 ECU. The best thing to do at this point is to call an APR dealer and have them check with APR. http://www.goapr.com/dealer/

I have the APR Stage 3 kit for my GTI. I'd like to try the C2 motorsports turbo kit on a used 2.5L Golf but I don't think I want to build out my next car.

yeah there was that one guy on mk6 that had a turbo 2.5, but I heard he had a lot of issues, I think he did a one off though.

I know U-20T from mk6 (with piece of eurojet's BT kit) is selling his GTI and looking for a golf to build, that should be interesting.

well I'm not 100% certain he is going to sell. I do know he is in the market for the golf. He MAY be doing both though.

I'd love to see one of the BT guys go AWD in the GTI. I know he can't though, i think his turbo set up is in the way.
