Wow, I was just getting ready to order some ADV1's for both my CLK Black Series and my C Black Series this week. Looks like I better do a little more research before caughing up $17k worth of wheels.

HRE's are the best IMO. Why even risk it with so much money for a company that has a history of $#@!ing up and changing names?

I'm not risking it, I am not going to go with them. I just hope HRE can get me wheels with a custom finish in less than 8 weeks.

Yeah Forgline are legit. I have been to a bmwcca event at their facilities. Their wheels are raced every weekend in many series.

JRcart check them out, they are closer to you (Midwest).

another bad story about ADV.1... they sure do a very good job at marketing though. Some of their rim designs are pretty appealing, and their photoshoots are always great too...

I have actually dealt with Forgline in the past, they built me a set of one-off drag wheels for my CLK. I persobally don't like any of the styles they have available, none of them have the look I am trying to get. I also have a set of CCW's which are light as hell, I might give them a look to see what's available.

    HRE wheels are quality.

BTW Those drilled and tapped holes SCARE the $#@! out of me. Asking for a bolt to pull through.

They have a new "concave" line with some similar wheel designs to ADV.

Yes, Yes, Yes! I've posted this info in the past whenever I see someone start a thread on wheels with a "BEAUTIFUL" ADV1 pic. This poor guy is only one of a long list that got screwed at 360 as well. Buyer beware, you must do your homework when it comes to all purchases nowadays, especially at this price point and when safety is an issue.
