I saw that race and the distance increased continuously during the whole race and the end result was about 1 ½ car lenght win to the Merc.
...and if you would have continued up to speeds around 180 mph (like in our airfield events) the difference would have been much greater...
It seems that stock weight and pump gas makes quite a big difference.GT-R R35 coming up...

What does it take a C63 to trap 120 or better? Can they do it on tune only? I am sure with intake and exhaust they can... AFAIK, you better be inecting a ton of meth to play with a lightly modded C63, their powerband is monstrous.

I've seen a 121.9 on the VBOX in monster negative DA with pump gas for the C63 tune only (OE Tuning)... but the same guy trapped 119 at Atco.
The 135i's with 200 lbs less than the 335i are a near even match for a tuned C63, full weight vs full weight. It's also starting MPH dependent. The N54 shines from a 30 MPH roll in 2nd gear, whereas the C63 shines from a 40 roll.

There are 2-3 c63 that hit over 121 in dift tracks tune only
200lbs less then 335 would be 3400 lb? C63 stock trim is 4000lbs 3990 exact lol that's 600 lbs pounds that's half a sec in 1/4 mile.
C63 shines very well from 30 just people don't know how to drive c63's. You saw my races with the 335 if I would of started in 2nd gear at 30mph It would have been a smaller gap between me and him.
btw 40mph is not a good staring point 45-50 is 2nd gear on power band . @40 it's under top of 1st and low 2nd. From a dig or low roll under 15mph c63 modded is beasty with the rite driver.

I think you would agree that races are done in the 5000 RPM to redline range, right? Considering we actually make much less power than a tuned C63 if the same corrections are used (for some reason, we 335i guys use STD for correction while NA cars typically use SAE). If you would enter your dyno runs in WinPEP as STD corrected it would be a true apples to apples comparison as to how much more power and torque you make higher in the RPMs.
The 335i weighs around 3580-3605 depending on transmission and sedan/coupe. The 135i weighs 3373 lbs in manual trim.
The typical N54 makes peak torque right around 3000 RPM to 5000 RPM then drops to around 275 lb/ft torque at redline, compared to a C63 which has a flat torque curve. The C63 has a typical NA power curve whereas the 335i/135i makes peak HP around 5200 RPM and drops flat on its face (380-385 whp STD) at redline. Your car weighs around 3800 lbs you said with your weight reduction and even further when you go into race trim.
If I were to put my car in "race trim" it would drop 180 lbs or so at most... which would put it close to a full weight 135i.
BTW, tell that to Jon who says 30 mph is a terrible starting speed because he got raped by Chuck from a 30 roll heh.

Around 5k is where the c63 opens up u rite as for the STD and SAE any car FI or NA or nos will make less power SAE and more STD. Not a NA or FI thing just a power thing to say I make this number. For me dynos don't mean crap lol I ran 11.19@125 with full weight and no cf parts and 93 oct and only made 445rw SAE how does that make sence c&d 4200lbs to pull does numbers? Dynos are only good for one thing tuning. I seen Dyno operators do some tricks to add 20-40rw from standing the rear wheels on top of the rollers to spraying nos in front of the fans lol.
The curve in the c63 is great the higher rpm the more power we make.
My car does come in at3800 a lil over but it's ok, when I'm in full race trim its like 3650, a c63 with my mods and to be at 3400lbs for sure will trap over 130. (and it's a possible weight)
if I had a 335 I would deft lose 180lbs. at the level of power your car has it will make a huge improvement. U could lose more if u realy wanna spend money.
Jon knows that in 2nd gear at 30he would be toast that's why he races his power band. If he used 1st gear and stayed under 30 his light ass would of had a better chance sad to say.

Temp is only one factor that determines DA though. You should change your name to king of excuses.

Mthis - how much WHP does MHP's C63 have that traps 132mph?
For others, multiple stock P31 C63s have trapped 117 - 119mph.
