Audi Powered KTM X-Bow is finally available in the United States - and it's street legal!

It seems like it has been a very long time since anyone discussed the KTM X-bow and it coming to the United States. Here is a quick refresher on exactly what the KTM X-bow is. It is a lightweight, as in 1700 pound, open cockpit track toy similar to the Ariel Atom. The X-Bow however is powered by the Audi 2.0T FSI motor in 240 horsepower trim. Awesome right? To get in in street legal from you have to import it from the British Racing Group who is the North American importer. You then have to supply your own Audi powerplant which isn't too big of a deal. Price? Stay tuned, but should be in the $60k range.

Would be more complicated but could be done. Would need to remove the motor, set it up as a kit car, etc. This company likely takes care of all that for you but seems to be doing it at a huge premium.

It's horrible. I thought it would be $60k based on what it costs overseas but they are marking it up to 95-100.

The regular atom is much cheaper, and you can make it street legal with a legal creative work.

    Price will start at $88,500.

Other editions will cost more, just not worth it especially considering you still have to add your own engine/trans:

If the lowest-end X-Bow is too soft for you, be prepared to shell out quite a bit of cash for the upgrades. The Clubsport version will command $103,500, the Superlight will set you back $134,500 and the top-of-the-line GT4 will carry a very hefty $139,000 sticker.
