Stock 2020 Shelby GT500 vs. stock McLaren 720S from dig and rolls
There is no surprise here in the outcome here. The McLaren 720S trounces the new GT500 showing just how fast it is in stock form. The GT500 is not slow by any means but it needs some tuning before even approaching a 720S.
The nice thing is, it only takes bolt on mods for a GT500 to be able to beat a McLaren 720S. Ford provides a very robust platform.
We will see what the rematch looks like once the GT500 and presumably the 720S are tuned.
For now, it's not even close.

Gt500 is just another powerful rwd pony car, just like the maro and challenger, there have been so many videos of these going up against the dragtimes 720(tuned and not). Summary, they dont have the traction to keep up with a 720s on anything other than highly prepped track on slicks, anything less than that and they will lose. 720s excellent lc and rear weight bias gives big advantage....

Will a modded GT500 really wax a stock 720S? It's going to need to be making around 930 WHP to match the power to weight of a stock 720S, and then the 720S has a lot better traction (due to being mid engined) as well as (just a guess here) a DCT that is probably faster shifting.

Considering that this normal GT with a 2650 and kong intercooler ran a 8.72 @ 158 mph I would say a bolt on GT500 should be able to handle even a tuned 720S.

I'll take the Porsche. It's more practical. It has something resembling a back seat and it's roomier inside for guys my size.

911 Turbo has low exotic factor and is imitated by lesser 911s. It also has a flat(lol) exhaust note. Forget the back seats, they may as well be painted on.
720s has no negatives really

If you're 5;8" and 160 lbs, you will have no problem fitting into a 720S. I am basically twice that size and over 6 ft tall with a muscular build. I have sat in a 911 and it's one of the few sports cars that I can actually drive for an hour without parts of my body cramping or feeling claustrophobic. The seats might be puny in the back but at least there is room back there to seat a "normal" sized adult or child on short trips or put my gym bag while someone else occupies the front passenger seat. I haven't sat in a 720S but reading the specs, interior space is at a premium and it's much smaller inside. In my opinion, the 911 is more of an everyday car than the 720S. As far a looks go, I like the fact that the 911 is a little understated and doesn't attract too much attention. It's not flashy, and it flies under the radar.
