Mercedes-AMG to require Project One buyers to sign contract promising not to flip/resell
Well, this ought to stop the outrageously wealthy from getting even more wealthy! Yes, car flipping is a problem. Well, it's a problem if you are the manufacturer and you see people making money that should have been yours.
This is the nature of markets. There is no way to stop people from selling things at a profit. Porsche is trying to cut down on flipping along with Ford but is forcing people into a contract really the way to go?
Mercedes is acting like people that will pony up over a million for a car grow on trees. Maybe they do as all 275 units are technically spoken for.
All this will do is delay the inevitable as after a time period of two years owners will be allowed to sell their cars. The rich will still get richer.

Won't they want to wait for them to appreciate before flipping anyways? I dont see what this accomplishes. The value will only go up with time on a vehicle like this.
