Hottest ethanol based race fuel out there? A look at Ignite Racing Fuels
Ethanol has exploded in popularity in the automotive tuning scene and for good reason. It is cheap race gas. It also brings with it numerous benefits such as high octane and cooling namely in direct injected applications. Not to mention a very clean burn. It also has downsides of course such as quickly taxing fuel systems due to the energy content of ethanol requiring greater volume.
Ignite Racing Fuels offers several different ethanol based fuels. What you get at your local station that has ethanol will not offer the same consistency or quality. It may be fine for those who like to do a little blending with pump gas but if you are pushing high horsepower, boost, compression, or going to an event in kill mode you will want the best fuel possible to prevent costly mishaps.
Then of course there are those of us who do not have a station selling E85 and would like a barrel of fuel for an event or even to keep in the garage when wanting to try out that new high boost map.
As someone speaking from experience with leaded C16 gunking up injectors ethanol race fuel is the way to go if your fuel system can handle it.
Some of the fastest cars out there are using it:
Let's take a quick look at some of the ethanol based fuels they offer:
From cars:
To boats:
Or whatever ethanol racing fuels are here to stay and the days of C16 or MS109 being the choice are in the past. Not to mention a barrel of Ignite E85 is cheaper than either of the aforementioned. With modern turbocharged and direct injected motors, why would you run anything other than ethanol on high boost?

I go out of my way to get E99. If you want to run ethanol I don't know how it can really get any better than that. It used to be straight 100% ethanol but people were drinking it so they added 1% of gas to denature it.

But if their E98 is 98% ethanol, then at most there is 2% something else. I can't see that really making any difference.

Guys, how does this stuff compare to all ethanol?....they claim that this combo of 37% regular gas 21% ethanol and 42% methanol is better, what are your thoughts?

I get their E85 and E98 offerings are true 85% and 98% ethanol, but what about their Ignite 108 and Ignite 114? The article says ethanol-based but does that mean I need the same fueling as E85 for Ignite 108/114 or is that more like traditional race gas? Also, at that octane is it leaded?

They aren't leaded.
You can read details on their page. I don't know what all the numbers mean but good luck: http://www.igniteracingfuel.com/108.html

Did a little more research looks like the Ignite 114 is about 90% ethanol with extra additives to boost the octane to 114.
