Both pulls were in 4th gear, my car was slipping in 2nd & 3rd (bald rear tires)

Supercharged S65 V8 vs. supercharged S65 V8 here, both 6-speed manual. Many people do not remember just how intense and bitter the E9X M3 supercharger war was. ESS-Tuning essentially won the minds of the people by manipulating forum circumstances while Gintani provided the superior hardware and tuning options.

The ESS kits aren't bad by any means but it is all one size fits all with canned tunes (that you can have a tuner customize of course) and all using the V3si blower. Gintani offered several Vortech head units along with other options (methanol/E85 tuning).

The Gintani car pulls rather hard which is surprising since it is not on methanol.

beast,i got the same setup going on my m3 but gonna run full e85 with a flex fuel kit n meth gintani kit is far superior from the other supercharger offerings,no other kit comes with upgraded fuel system to support e85

Yep, it shouldn't be that large of a difference but ESS kits are way faster in forum posts than on the road.
