MIR Picture Thread
We had quite a few new records set yesterday at MIR. DA was -100 to -200' at best, temp was 55-58F.
HUGE thank you to our East Coast/Floridian customers for making it out, and putting the time and effort into making the day what it was. I owe 100% of our success to our customers and the race results they provide. Thank you again!
Unfortunately Keith's trans wasn't up to track duty today, still despite tagging the limter and hanging on every shift (N/A) he went [email protected]+. I believe Keith made 4-5 passes before calling it a day. The rebuilt trans is apparently smoked again already after 8 nitrous runs (post rebuild). We'll open it back up next week and fix what needs to be fixed.
New Tune/Tire Only 63 AMG Record:
RaleighC63/Jim Barnhill ran [email protected], that pass was backed by 3 more hot laps each with a different rookie driver and an 11.67-11.77@120+ ending. Jim's only mods are MHP v3 CDT, K&N Filters, MT DRs.
New N/A 63 AMG Record:
dodger63/Mike Conforti ran [email protected] on a 1.66 60' . Mike's mods are MHP v3 CDT, MHP SS LTs/Mids, Carbonio CF Airboxes/Filters, MHP 180F Thermostat, CF Hood and Trunk (-60lbs), and KW V3 COs (the car is slammed but still sixty footed like a champ!), and MT DRs.
New PB for mthis (3rd Q/F 63 AMG in the World):
mthis/Hagi Djencic ran a [email protected] on a 1.68 60'. Hagi's mods are MHP v3 CDT, MHP SS LTs/Mids, Filters, MHP 180F Thermostat and Nitto DRs.
New PB for 2010C63AMG (4th Q/F 63 AMG in the World):
2010C63AMG/Pat Shupe ran a [email protected] on a 1.76 60'. Pat's mods are MHP v3 CDT, MHP SS LTs/Mids, K&N Filters, MT DRs.
IMO, the most impressive occurance of the day was that every single MHP C63 and we had 5 running in different states of tune, ran an 11 something on every single pass. 11.23-11.90, but every single one, and we're talking 50+ passes on the day for everyone.
I'll post vids of all the runs in the next few days however here are some pictures to start:

Videos coming tomorrow, lol all day tomorrow, we got a lot of footage...

Sorry for the late response but everyone was pretty much dead on. Soon as I hit 3rd gear the car fell on its face. I'm down alot of mph. I am working on an axle solution right now. First time i ever broke an axle on the bias ply tires. Getting some 1000hp axles made hopefully in time for the next rental so I can finally launch off the stall and see what else breaks lol. Hopefully have a new tune too. Waiting on my guy to get some cars out the shop so he can mess with trying standalone on my car.
See most of you guys Nov 20th!

Sounds great and best of luck getting her back together before the race. We have a few changes for Keith's car in the works as well. Level 10 clutch packs were smoked after 8 days of driving just from the few nitrous passes he made on the street, going back to stock for now. The WA5A is looking better and better everyday LOL.

DSS wanted $2k, so I'm looking at a company in Canada called A1 Cvtech. I will let you know how it goes. So far they said less than half the price of DSS and 1 week turnaround time from when they receive sample (shipping from Canada will take a while because of customs)
Thanks! I can't wait to see Keiths car run without trans issues! Sounds MEAN! The 5 speed trans is alot stronger than the 7. Time for a swap lol. The ECU and TCU would probably freak out though. Gonna try race gas in it and see if the car stops falling on its face up top

If your car makes a clean pass the record will fall in short time no question, I would definitely run race gas. We'll be happy to follow you into the tens with a working trans. Back to stock clutch packs and with cams making some of the new HP we'll need less nitrous and consequently make less TQ. You're right the trans swap is impossible (with a realistic financial cap on the project) but it's nice to dream sometimes
Welcome...
