I had them put on my wheels 6 months ago from a fellow detailing friend and my wheels literally throw brake dust back off of them, i just use water mainly to rinse the crud off the wheels. Main reason I wont do it to the whole car is I actually enjoy detailing. Doing the Opti-coat is like they have said, "permanent" so there is no more buffing, claying, polishing, sealing etc...

Doing it on the wheels sounds like a pretty good idea. I might do that.

I had mine professionally done by a local detailer in MD to my entire car and wheels about 6 months ago and so far so good, dirt comes off easily and it seems to stay cleaner longer. I'd do it again and when it warms up the wife's X3 is getting the same guy to do it.

You dont really need it tbh, just wash regularly..

Ive installed Opti Coat on my 135, my 335, my wifes 335iS her Ats-V and our Macan, Love the stuff I will say though, if you are a detailing enthusiast Opti coat isnt for you. If you enjoy buffing your car and maintaining it, dont use opti coat. Opti coat is a one and done thing.

I have used Opticoat on two cars and Modesta on two cars.
In my opinion Modesta looks deeper and shinier (like a wax) and seems more durable.
