50k mi here or roughly 80Km and going through some deep cleaning of the engine right now.
The dealer had to replace the EGR valve and both turbos.
The DPF was actually clean.
The shop foreman explained to me that the valve between the two turbos was stuck because of the carbon deposits ant the smaller turbo almost non functional.
He recommended to block off the EGR valve in order to solve this issue.
Apparently the DPF regeneration worked fine, but being the last piece of equipment in the emission system it was not affected by the negative effects of the EGR valve.
Somehow the X5 diesel has a better system than the 335d in which the clean gases that come out of the DPF are returned to the intake instead of taking all that dirty spent air from the EGR and clog up everything else.
In my case, I don't think a DPF delete kit would help me much. EGR delete definitely would.

Pulling the DDE is like a 5 minute job, are they joking with $500 in labor? Maybe that included 4 days of car storage at $100/day

Im in the process of modifying my signals as well, but on a more "low-tech" level.
Is a 1k pot enough to modify my boost signal? Or do I have to be all fancy, and buy a voltage regulator?

Can I turn down the voltage with just a 1k or do I have to have something else to? Like another resistor, diodes or anything else? Cause if I get the voltage signal back to the Ecu lower = more boost, right?

Still looking for answers tho. I'm new with this, modifying voltage signals I mean.
Already got a ECU flash, planning on running a plugin box for even more fueling but to make use of the extra fuel I need to bump the boost up a bit.
so I gladly take any advice on how to, got a potentiometer laying around so thought I might play around with it.
