      EFS Combust - a new fuel additive ???

      Has anybody tried this?

      Composition is about 54% ethanol, 36% benzyl alcohol, and the balance a mixture of acetophenone, ethers and a carboxylic acid. Apparently 1 oz in 15 gallons of gas increases power and torque 5%. I found the patent if anybody is interested.

      Sure it does.

      1 fl. oz. = 1/128th of a gallon. So they're claiming a 1:1920 ratio of their product to unknown gasoline will increase power 5% over straight unknown gasoline?

      Think I'll be sticking with an E60 blend and spending my money elsewhere. You would be wise to do the same (at least with the latter).

      I agree there is no octane effect. If there is any effect then it ***may*** have something to do with modifying the properties of the injected fuel mist. Small amounts of stuff can have a big effect on surface properties (like a drop of soap in a pot of greasy dishwater). Just for kicks I ordered a small bottle to test. I'll report back...
