    Not saying he pulled the wrong move. Just that he is lucky the curbing ended. That is why I like cages also though.

    He did mostly get lucky though, I would say the track designers did a good job of having a large paved runout area on the outside of that turn...if it had been grass he wouldn't have stopped and if it was gravel he would have rolled or like Ingeniator said could have had a curb.
    Nothing else the driver could have done though except prepare the car better for an extended track run.
