pulls were too short for the BMW to really shine over the EVO. EVO gearing sucks for HWY pulls, the BMW has a much larger advantage over the EVO at higher speeds. That and most stock block EVOs are only around 500AWHP. From a dig this would have obviously been a much different outcome.

It depends if the evo has a 5 speed or 6 speed. The 5speeds have a very nice gearing but the 6 speed sucks

The stock 5 spd is a 4.56 gear and is awful. My EVO felt like it was gonna fly apart at 150mhp. It's actually a little too short for the 1/4 mile even, a lot of times they switch to a 4.11 gear so they don't have to shift that last time before the end of the 1/4.
