Active Autowerke Level III supercharged DCT M3 vs. full bolt on Cobb tuned GTR roll on race
The Active Autowerke Level III supercharged M3's continues to impress. This particular M3 runs a full bolt on Cobb tuned Nissan GTR on the highway. The GTR has the Cobb tune, downpipes, a full exhaust system, intake work, and is on 93 octane pump gas. The M3 features the Active Autowerke Gen 2 Level III S65 v8 supercharger system along with a full exhaust setup. It is not stated whether it is on pump gas or race gas for this run.
A full bolt on GTR with a tune is a very potent weapon. However, a roll on race between the two cars on the highway assuming similar power should favor the M3. Why? Because it is rear wheel drive, revs higher, and lighter. A run from a stop favors the GTR with its all wheel drive traction and torque advantage. As both cars have a dual clutch transmission that particular area is even.
The M3 pulls surprisingly quickly but it also looks to get a jump on the 'two' count. Regardless, it continues its pull. It would be great to see a rematch between these two cars with the GTR on a race gas map.

It's not terrible because it was over quick. I'd prefer more pulls but hey the GTR should have more power if an early jump beats it like that.

Once that GTR is on E85, it will be a different story. I hated my car on pump gas haha, 91 to E85 gave me 100hp and almost 150tq when i was on stock turbos

Really good. Still have the Killer Bee and a 2013 FO E92 M3. Just went to the Canadian Euro experience and picked up a SO M4 and put 2300km on it through Germany, Austria and Italy. Car arrived in less than 4 weeks from Germany to Vancouver! Waiting on Active to get the exhaust sorted out now . You still in the F10?

The M4 is amazing. So much different than the E92 and much much better all around. The sound is the only gripe, but if you want fast lap times, the M4 is it! Active is on a system for me right now and yes, catless It really does not need more power( unless going for dyno wars or drags ). The handling and braking is so incredible that you always feel like you are just teasing it. It really feels 500lbs lighter than the E9x. BMW nailed this chassis.
