Renntech tuned W212 E63 AMG S 4Matic with upgraded M157 turbochargers vs. a Lamborghini Aventador with the Performance Package option from a roll
The E63 AMG S 4Matic in the video is the same car we saw in action last month against a supercharged C63 and a modified Nissan GT-R where it showed impressive performance on the highway. In the three videos below the car this time runs against a Lamborghini Aventador which is certainly stout competition. This Aventador features the factory Performance Pack option which boosts torque by 8% and increases horsepower from the V12 to 746 horsepower.
There are very few Performance Pack Aventadors out in the world and there is not even much information available about the package. What we do know is it makes the already powerful Aventador even more powerful. So how does a four door AMG sedan do against it?
Very well. The E63 AMG pulls steadily away in every single run. It is absolutely incredible that a sedan is able to do this to Lamborghini's top raging bull. It shows just how powerful this latest generation of twin turbo V8 sedans truly is and how fast cars have become.
Now, it is not much of a debate as to what car one would rather have in the garage. The Aventador offers aspects that no German sedan can no matter how fast it is. Though this definitely is one fast German sedan that Renntech has built for our friend over in Russia @Vasily1.

This is just a freaking cool comparison to see anyway. How often do you get to do rolling races with an Aventador on the highway? And win no less?

Wow this is amazing especially considering the benz is 4matic and heavier than the Lambo

I wouldn't go so far as to say amazing. This is a 5.5 liter twin turbo V8. The Lamborghini is naturally aspirated.
Yes, it is heavier and all wheel drive. What this shows is that we are about at the peak of the golden age of horsepower. The next generation E63 will not have more displacement.
This is about as good as it is going to get folks.BRAND NEW IN BOX 991.2 standard/non-pse SPW cat bypass pipe for sale - $899 shipped

I gotta be honest...I don't see how this happens tune-only...what are we talking, about 750 hp? And about 800-some pound feet? Given that it's about 600 pounds heavier than the Aventador...this thing must be a freak.
Edit: Just saw the mod list in the other thread, if this thing is making more like 900 hp or so then it's also gotta be way over 1000 pound feet, and given that, I can definitely see this happening. Insane car. I want to know more about these new Renntech turbos...Last edited by leveraged sellout; 06-05-2014 at 02:52 PM.

The E63 sounded so quiet and calm.
What speed did it hit? Well north of 300km I'm assuming?
Wicked.

I think most of us know the present and future of high performance is the turbo for better fuel mileage and stricter emissions (not to mention more torque). Anyways, very impressive Renntech!
