Front wheel rubbing
hey guys i have a 07 e92 335i LOW on BC colis with VMR V705's on the front of my car in 19x8.5 +35 with 235/35/19 pilot super sports.
i recently had an LSD installed and i went through the break in period and yes began driving the car hard again. One thing i wanted to see was just how easy it was to make the car slide now....well my front passenger side wheel rubbed a whole in my windshield washer hose that runs through the front fender and i seem to have a good amount of rubbing on my frame.....
my questions is,is this possible with a +35 offset and a 235/35/19 PSS or is it possible they sold me the +45 offset?
also i use to have 19x9.5+22 235/35/19 V12's in the front so is it possible the rubbing on the frame is from those?
second question would be if the rims are really rubbing would a 5mm spacer be enough to bring it out and would it rub the outside of the fender after??
let me know guys
thanks!
EDIT: alignment issue also possibly?

I looked a bit further at RealOEM for you.
For an E92 335i:
BMW OEM offset for 19" front wheels is
8JX19 ET:37
9JX19 ET:39
So 8.5J would probably be an ET of 38?
A 3mm spacer in that case would already do the trick on your wheels with an ET of 35.
Note that the OEM tire size is 225/35/19, but in my experience 1 size over stock is normally OK.
Do you have any pictures of the damage? There are two theories to arguing with women. Neither one works

no ill ill try and get some soon....
i called VMR and they said i have to have the 19x8.5 +35 because they never made the V705 in a +45 it was just an error on the website.
they also said it should not be rubbing as that is the front size they recommended for pre lci e92's for the front....
raised the car up some and going to get an alignment to see if anything is seriously out of line.

i tried to measure the offset of my wheels using some youtube videos, heres one that i used
if i did this correctly then i have a +45 wheel...when VMR told me they never made this....
my calculations using this videos go like this,
9 1/4inch(234.95mm) divided by 2=117.5
9.5inch(241.3mm) divided by 2=120.7
this is from floor to straight edge on back of rim.
6 1/4inch(158.75mm)
6.5inch(165.1mm)
measurement of mounting face to straight edge on back of rim.
so calculations as per the video,
117.5-158.75=-41 which in the video she says would mean +41
120.7-165.1=-44.4 so that would +44.4
i did it with 2 different sets of numbers just to see if i would land in the same ballpark offset.
im guessing thats close enough to verify that i have a +45 offset?
