Maserati likely to produce the Alfieri concept based on strong sales

Maserati is increasing volume considerably and generating quite a bit of sales. Due to this upward trend management is leaning toward production of the Alfieri. The production car will no doubt differ from the concept pictured below but this shows significant confidence in the brand.

The Alfieri would likely compete against the Jaguar F-Type and possibly the upcoming Mercedes AMG GT. Maserati does have a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 at their disposal along with boosted V6's.

A 500+ horsepower V8 would definitely make this car have the muscle under the hood to match its looks which is something the current Gran Turismo can not say. Additionally, with the Gran Turismo getting a bit old now the Alfieri certainly can slide in to take its place.

We will have to wait and see what happens but the outlook is bright for Maserati.
