Nissan GT-R R35 Mk.1 HKS GT570+ vs. Dodge Viper SRT10 Paxton Supercharged. Unlim 500+, 2009
Vipers are really disappointing unless they are twin-turbo charged. The GTR proves it can still pull hard at the high end

So much hate for Vipers, why? If you are judging it based on a straightline race with a GTR you don't get it.
The Viper will put hair on your chest. The GTR will bore you to sleep.
How a Viper can be overrated when the ACR kicked everything short of brand new million dollar supercars asses on the Nurburgring is beyond me. The Viper is a car that forces you to tame it. It makes you drive it. It's absolutely awesome and hardly disappointing.

I get what you're saying, but I'm just not a fan. I'll take a manual e46M3 for a fun car to "drive" over a viper. Or an older lambo/ferrari. I've never driven a R35GTR but from what I've read and heard from people that have is it pretty much drives itself. And that's fine, for some people the experience is in going fast and not feeling the car. I'm somewhere in the middle.

im so sick of people saying the gtr drives it self, especially you Sticky. Nissan did everything to make it go fast not feel better. When everyone tells you dct's are for girls you rant about how its faster witch your correct it is faster but so is the gtr. I personally respect what a dct does but I would not buy it because I would rather sacrifice the speed for the driving experience of an actual manual.

I never deny the GTR's performance and I always state the DCT will not provide as connected of an experience as the manual. That said, I respect the DCT performance advantage just as I respect the GTR's performance. Both are somewhat boring and robotic though.
Some people put more importance on the driving experience. Some put more importance on performance. I feel with the M3 you get a better balance than you do in the GTR.BRAND NEW IN BOX 991.2 standard/non-pse SPW cat bypass pipe for sale - $899 shipped

i'll disagree with you on that unless you are talking about a full out drag car, but for anything resembling a street car awd cars are getting it done. the gtr has gone 7's in a street able trim, 13 of them has gone 8's, ugh gallardos have gone 8's as well. the Russian events are dominated by awd gallardos and gtr's, tx2k is as well. the KOT competitions have been won by awd cars as well. So what is rwd the king of other than drag cars with 24" slicks on the back??

How are you going to drag race on the street with a rear wheel drive car? You need drag rubber. You do it on the track. Racing on the street is for kids.
A lot of the big HP gallardos are rear wheel drive btw.
Rear wheel drive is the king of the mile, roll racing, and top end. Also drag racing on an actual drag strip.BRAND NEW IN BOX 991.2 standard/non-pse SPW cat bypass pipe for sale - $899 shipped
