And the most popular car at the 2013 LA Auto Show is... the Porsche 918 Spyder

Not really all that surprising but the hottest car at the 2013 LA Auto Show was the Porsche 918 Spyder. Porsche had their own hall as always and as always it was packed. This year it seemed even more exciting as the Macan made its debut and Porsche also brought a 918 Spyder which was put in its own room inside the hall. There was a line just to get into the room that housed how the 918 Spyder which says plenty as to what everyone wanted to see.

It was difficult to simply snap photos of the hybrid supercar as the crowd seemed mesmerized by it. One guy crouched in front of it for what seemed like 10 minutes whispering things into the wheel well. I was about to ask if we should all leave the room to give him and the car some time alone but he finally got out of the way and I was able to get some photos.

The performance is there as we all know with record setting Nurburgring laptimes. What laptimes do not convey is just how beautiful this car is in person. The design is spectacular, simple as that. From the wheels, interior, exhaust setup, etc., it is worth every penny. A magnificent machine showing what the future of of automotive design holds both inside and out.
