There are threads on my350z.com about GTM and their quality control issues, I am glad you had a good experience with them but many people didn't. I have used them several times in the past for various parts and was always satisfied but it seems turbo and supercharger kits from them have fitment issues and usually are missing parts. I am too new to post links or I would link the thread. I do have many friends that couldn't be a happier with their GTM kits but for the most part it's the guys that had GTM install the kits. They are high quality parts with endless options...just make sure GTM installs it for you.

I ordered my GTM Stage 5 kit around 4-12-2009 and I was told it would be 2-3 Weeks before it shipped, I was very patient because I know there was a large amount of orders for the kit. The kit finally showed up about 6-7 weeks later and everything looked A-OK until I started bolting the turbos to the manifolds.

One turbo had a t-25 flange and the other turbo had a T-3 flange on it... WTF? So I called Sam and let him know about the mistake and he sent me another housing in ~ a week, but the crappy thing was I had to ship the old housing back at my expense. $13 wasn't really worth the hassle of trying to get the credit back so I just forgot about it.

I immediately started putting the kit on the car and noticed that on one turbo the gasket didnt match up with the 5 bolt housing on the passenger side turbo. Not only did this make me have to modify the gasket with a dremel, I also had to modify the downpipe flange to bolt up to the turbo. I got the downpipe bolted up and tried to put the 4 bolt wastegate pipe on the manifold only to find out that it wouldnt bolt up flush to the manifold surface because the pipe was hitting the downpipe. I ended up having to take a hammer to the wastegate pipe and flattening one side to get it to fit right.

I had all sorts of fitment issues that I know were not my fault, the intercooler brackets didnt line up with the holes on the intercooler, so now I have 5 bolts holding the intercooler on instead of 6. The front bumper wont fit on because the pass side intake pipe sticks out too far (I looked at another GTM G35 Coupe build and the pipe looks to be modified to go into the center of the car where as mine does not) and the driver side intake has nothing to support it so I have to cut the bracket off and weld a new one on.
One other small issue was the fact I was missing 2 T-Bolt clamps as well.

So here I am almost 4 months after I ordered the kit, still without a working car, still with no turbos (thats another story). I am done with this car after I get it tuned, the whole experience has basically ruined my passion for cars and I have no interest in modifying my G any more after this. And it only makes it worse that Stylin Z just made ~600 whp with my old kit Click here to enlarge

i my self was missing 60... yes 60 total parts out of the kit including down pipes when i received it 2 months after ordering. Sam sent part by part to us over 4 week time period... I eventually said f it and just fabricated the parts needed to make the kit work .... things i never got till this day are

all the water lines and fittings for the turbos..

auto trans cooler with lines and fittings....

The kit is well put together and uses top quality parts, they just need a new warehouse guy or who ever packs these kits up....

So all that being said good luck with who ever buys these kits ....

Finally got around to watching this and that G35 is very, very impressive.

The 370Z has the same basic motor right so less weight plus this same power should make for... Click here to enlarge

The 370z was designed on Pluto, and its power levels are insane. We are getting the replica of the true 370z here. Weep not

It was less than $6000 installed with all the parts and tuning. A car that isn't factory turbo charged or supercharged is not going to be as cheap as our N54/N55 to make that kind of power.

If that car wasn't totaled I would still have it. I loved driving It. Plus it was super reliable even when it was turbocharged.

Avoid buying turbo kits from GTM they usually send out kits missing parts and it's like pulling teeth to get the parts from them. If you want a GTM kit have them install it. They used to have a great reputation but in the last 2-3 years most people try to avoid them. Unless you just go with a simple TT kit on the stock block the costs get out of hand quick, axles, clutches, fuel system, cooling system all need upgrades when pushing over 600hp. In the end my car was a money pit that was so highly modified I spent more time working on it than I did driving it. In stock form Gs are great cars they respond horribly to NA mods and can be finicky when forced induction is added, I parted the G out and bought an X5M best thing I have done.
Haven't been on this forum in a while and just stumbled on this thread.

Nice to see a familiar name from 350Z forum, I have been a member on that site since 2003 ,and had two 350Z's mine weren't modded like your though.

Now as far as the reputation now on the 370z/G37 platform it is not bad at all they have pretty much been the only option for TT kits tell recent. I have a built motor TT 370z with 17K on the built engine. My kit was not installed by them and I have not had a problem except my slave blowing out. I am riding around with over 600 whp you are correct the cost can go up quick though.
