Mercedes SLC likely coming for 2016, set to get a Black Series version with 580+ horses from a twin turbo V8

The Mercedes-Benz Porsche 911 fighter called the SLC appears to be on track. The base model will feature 485 horsepower 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 power. If that is the case, expect to see this motor in the next generation W205 C63 AMG as well. The "S" variant will sport 550 horsepower which will be positioned against the Porsche 991 Turbo. Above this will be a 585+ horsepower track focused SLC Black Series which likely will go against the 991 GT2.

Expect pricing for the base SLC around $140,000. The S and Black Series models will likely be pushing in the ~$200k range. Not exactly affordable but the base price comes from directly changing Euros into Dollars which in practice does not work out. Hopefully the SLC can be closer to the $100k mark when it arrives.

This is going to be a very fun car and quite tunable.
