Cobra Replica Crash at Willow Springs

Crazy crash. Just a reminder that things can go very wrong, very quickly. Skip to 3min left if you don't want to see the driving prior to the crash.

He walked away though. Very impressive.

One thing that surprised me - after that many rolls, the first thing the track personnel did when they arrived was take off his helmet? Shouldn't thy ave waited for medical personnel to do that? Or at least let the guy take his own off? What if he had a neck/back injury?

I imagine that the track personnel are trained in Paramedics, so that's probably why the track personnel bagan to evaluate his neck by first removing his helmet.

That's brutal, glad he walked away. Seeing his head and arm hit the ground twice is partly why you'll never see me in a convertible.

You don't have to track a convertible...

Surprising he didn't have arm harnesses (often required when tracking convertibles).

He mentioned something about a turn though, not sure why that would be the turns fault.

Regardless, I don't plan on ever tracking a Cobra.

Yeah, this looks to be a compelling argument for arm restraints.
