    2011 BMW E92 335is DCT with Renntech tune versus stock Mustange Boss 302 on drag radials at the drag strip

    Interesting matchup here between a 2011 E92 335is with a Renntech tune on its N54 motor with DCT transmission and Dinan exhaust versus a stock 2013 Mustange Boss 302 with drag radials. This drag race takes place at Palm Beach International Raceway in Florida and it appears to be a warm/humid day with density altitude stated to be at 2000+. The 335is is able to just edge out the Mustang in ET (despite redlighting) with a 12.40@111 to the Mustang's 12.42@113.

    Neither car had the best launch with a 2.06 60 foot for the 335 versus 1.90 for the Mustang. The cars are closely matched in elapsed time through the 1/4 although the top end goes to the Boss. Interesting race, video below.

    Would of liked to see the outcome with the mustang on street tires or that 335is on DR's also.

    Good run, Mustang had you nervous LOL... Seriously good run overall, that Mustang as noted could be cutting 1.6 to 7 60's and rocking high 11's to 12.0's but still a win is a win.

    Agreed and repped as well. There are street tire Boss 302's that squeezed into the 11's on 6speedonline. Bone stock. DR's should have the car deep into the 11's.

    Kooks headers, Steeda or FRRP intake ($2000 total) and the car is at 41X rwhp and 33X rwtq and knocking on the door of 10's with a proper launch and solid DA.

    What happened, happened and not like the 335 could not improve considering it had the worse 60 foot but the better ET. Mustang lost despite drag radials, get over it.

    Not 2000+ DA. People take the fastest run and apply it to all situations. The car isn't as fast as Mustang owners like to think and the standard 5.0 is even slower.

    It's like the people who think the Z06 is a 10 second and 128 mile per hour car stock.

    Not in that DA. You can't take 11's someone ran in negative DA on some super well prepped trap and then say it should do that everywhere. 11's are the minority not the majority.

    What you saw here is realistic for Florida and the car will be even slower in the summer.
