First 5 things you did to mod your car....

Just thought it would be fun to list the first five things you did to mod your cars, and the reasons why you did them...

I'm just referring to my E34, as it is my current project...

#1 - Removed the Automatic Transmission and installed a Getrag 260 5gang manual.

Reason: The AT was fried and a 5 speed manual would suit it better.

#2 - In the process i had the flywheel machined to make it lighter and smoother.

Reason: For better throttle response, also the flywheel had some blue spots from the clutch overheating.

#3 - Lowered it and put on 18" Alpina B10 Softline rims.

Reason: For looks

#4 - Changed the rear beam mount bushings to Powerflex.

Reason: For more rigidy, i intend on replacing all rubbers with Powerflex or at least Polyurethane in the future, motor mounts and gearbox mounts included.

#5 - LSD

Reason: Pretty obvious huh ?

1. Springs.

Well, because it needed a drop.

2. Tune.

Because I don't like to lose.

3. Pulley.

Because I don't like to lose.

4. HRE C90's.

Because if I get rims they are going to be for bling AND performance.

5. Scoops.

Because I don't like to lose.

6. Exhaust.

Because I don't like to lose and like to intimidate.

7. Supercharger.

Because I really don't like to lose.

Because I really like the better handling and throttle steer

4. K&N air filter replacement
Better performance without the DCI noise

5. Wagner Sport FMIC
Better sustained performance without introducing too much lag, and no cutting of bumperparts required

6. BMW OEM Performance brake disks on all 4 corners
Because the standard brake system overheats on circuit trackdays

7. painted the rear "diffuser" in car color
Looks, did not get the 2-tone color idea BMW had with this car
