BMW continues to change in favor of fuel efficiency and catering to the masses, new BMW electric car commercial (propaganda)
Maybe we are a bit sensitive since we are a BMW Enthusiast site. We like to see innovation and BMW has been one of the best at introducing technologies or designs that eventually others in the industry copy. We just wish they would focus like they once did on introducing innovations and technologies designed to enhance the driving experience instead of trying to score environmental kudos. The only person at BMW who had the courage to question the direction where BMW was heading was BMWNA head Jim O'Donnel who was forced to apologize for daring to question the electric strategy. Watch the vid and see how our beloved BMW is changing before your eyes.

you know what sucks? people buy those things. Look at BMW sale numbers, it's over Merc and Audi though the production line is full of lame cars. if people don't buy it we can force our way of thinking to BMW, but with this success no way they listen to us.

In short, electric cars cause more emissions due to the fact that the extra electricity is produced by coal firing plants with poor efficiency and bigger CO2 emissions than gasoline.

Well, at least the electric 1 series is RWD.... lol how do mod an electric motor? Swap it out? I imagine you could increase voltage or amp draw somehow but would need to upgrade the cooling system....

Im thinking capacitor's banks are like nitrous for electric motors
I dont think green people realize that the energy in the universe is constant. We are just moving our dependency over to coal instead of gasoline. Maybe they assume since they are above all that the windpower in the grid somehow gets directed to their 220V plug. What a bunch of idiots. I'm all for finding another fuel source but EV's are not the answer.
I went to an EV event in college and some idiot said we could completely run the US off of wind power. You would have to have every inch of the US covered with a turbine to even get close and not to mention only when they are moving. Im tired of the green revolution. /rant
