GoPro Discussion
I recently picked up a GoPro and noticed that on their web site they offer a "LCD Backpack" http://gopro.com/hd-hero-accessories/lcd-bacpac/
Do any of you use this? Is it worth it? I'm thinking of getting this to help in positioning the camera and ensure the shot I want instead of guessing.
Also any tips/tricks are also appreciated.

I have been using the GoPro HD Motorsport for a year now (See my YouTube Channel link in my sig.) Great unit. 1st thing is have an extra battery on hand for full track days. 2hrs is about what I get on a full battery. Set up the 1 button power on/record function. Its in the set up guide. The one thing I had trouble with was aiming but once you get your mounting spots sorted out you get used to blind sighting...
I did pick up the LCD when it was launched and it attaches easily and the quality is pretty good. will use it for the first time on May 4th.,
The best forward mounting spot I found was just under the rear view mirror. It requires to mount upside down but you can either record that way and invert with most decent editing programs or there is an inverted record feature in the menu.
Enjoy.

Did a bit of research. These suits and chutes can be had for around $7,000.00. Balls and GoPro HD not included....LOL

depends how computer literate you are but there at my tutorials on the net to help you, it is very time consuming so it's not for everyone.
Gopro came out with the 3D version now which is very nice but what i don't like is that you have to buy 2 GoPro heros to be able to use the 3D effect.
Instead they should of made one GoPro with 2 cameras lenses would of cut down the cost of buying 2 of them for $260 each then 2 suction cups and 3D casing.
all together comes out to around $800. I am figuring out wich 3D platform i will go with to shoot my videos and hope i am ready by the Atco event.
Here are some samples of 3D videos in Gopro 3D make sure you have 2 color Glasses:
