AMS GTR: kicked out for lack of safety equipment (need 4pt for 190+)
AMS drag evo: 228mph but threw #3 rod out of the block and caught fire (still new Mitsu record)
Boost Logic GTR: 204.5mph (new GTR record)
Tommy Banh is going to be revving his stroked 2JZ to 10,000rpm (hit 9700rpm limiter on his 248mph pass) and the engine isn't likely to survive many attempts so it sounds like he's waiting for favorable weather.

Cody Phillips was having problems sorting out the boost control tables in his Supra, leader Tommy Banh steps up and shared his whole AEM map, Cody then jumps from 212mph to 231. (Banh apparently took the day off and is hoping for more favorable weather tomorrow).
Eddie Bello takes his air-cooled Porsche to 228mph after a clutch change (AMS was kind enough to let Eddie use the lift in their trailer -- hope they inventoried everything before/after). He's still fighting a misfire and is trying to track down a MSD digital 7 ignition box to try and beat the 236 he ran earlier this year (they apparently made a temp workaround but are still looking for a new box)
A Ford GT ran 233mph
Havent heard of any new results for PG's M3 -- he posted the following this morning:
If anybody near Houston is available and willing to pick up some parts at Momentum BMW and drive them to us 150 miles away to Goliad for the Texas Mile, we will gladly pay for your gas (both directions), food, and entry fees to the Texas Mile. PM me if you're willing and available.Last edited by spdu4ea; 03-28-2010 at 02:17 AM.

From what I hear, 16psi in the low gears ramping up to 38+ in 5th. So far they've been running boost only, but Cody plans to add some spray tomorrow.

Weather is much better today!
Eddie Bello: 235.6 (same speed as Miami Mile)
Heffner Ford GT: 249.7
UGR Gallardo: 250.1
Tommy Banh is desperately trying to come up with a new driveshaft and wheel to break 250 (DS broke and took out wheel early today).
PG's M3 is done, they're claiming fouled plugs and O2 from race gas

I heard the tailwind is accounting for a 6-7mph increase in mile runs today.
That UGR Gallardo is definitely my dream car now.

Its over, congrats to UGR & John Reed. That orange Gallardo was an E-gear, making it all the more impressive.

Would someone explain to me what kind of tires are used for these runs? The cars running to 250... what are they on?
