Police seize Megaupload owner Kimble's collection of cars including 14 Mercedes-Benz vehicles

For those unfamiliar Megaupload was a file uploading service that offered online file storage. The owner is Kim Dotcom who is known as Kimble. He has been convicted of insider trading, hacking, and embezzlement. Megaupload made him a lot of money becoming the 13th most popular site on the internet and in certain estimates was said to be responsible for 4% of all internet traffic. Issues arose when disputes over copyrighted material being hosted were brought forward. Suffice it to say, the authorities shut him down quickly once the big corporations felt Megaupload was giving their piece of the pie away for free.

Early this year Kimble's New Zealand home was raided and authorities seized all types of things even those not relevant to the investigation. A New Zealand judge ruled the warrant was far too broad and illegal. Additionally, the United States pressed for Kimble having his internet access revoked until the matter makes it through the courts. The judge revoked Kimble's access to the internet and due to this his number 1 worldwide ranking in the video game Modern Warfare 3 fell to number 2. Nope, not a joke.

This all happened earlier this year but we now have video of the raid as well as pictures of the collection being taken from his home. Yes, that is a giraffe in Kimble's backyard.

As a car enthusiast website we definitely would like to know what the State is doing and intends to do with this vast collection of high end cars. A word of warning to our users. If you are going to become an internet billionaire, don't piss off Hollywood. They really hate when people show them their business model is outdated and their control over media is overblown.
