It's posted on the forum. I just decided to upload it to host here.

I'll check over the xHP XDF file and make sure it has all of the corrections that unclejoe and myself found and corrected.

The nightmare is, that now there are 3 locations for 6HP XDF files. One get updated and nobody knows exactly what the differences are between the one on the xHP web site, the one on GitHub and now the one on BB.

I don't see it as a nightmare at all. Revisions can be posted in the thread.

For example, let's say you update definitions. You will be able to go back to the upload, click new version, and the thread is updated with the details on the changes.

    I think it's very simple.

I understand you want to keep things easy but I also have a responsibility to he members here to provide them with what I can and I didn't invest in a file system not to use it.

Frankly, you can help me refine it.

Good idea on checking the differences btw.

That is an easy process. I don't doubt it. Doing that then updating github then emailing Clemens at xHP to update his web site is where it gets complicated. That's 3 different places. I'm happy with either option but just one is the way to go. Maybe have a chat to Clemens at xHP about becoming the official host or something (with his site linking to yours). I wouldn't imagine it would be well accepted with their little marriage with SS though, but worth a try.

It is, yep. It's a competitive atmosphere but the good thing also is that should other sources pull versions or whatever may happen you have a mirror. It's bailed me out in the past.

I have no idea. All I can say is I have a file system, I'll do what I can to help you, and want BimmerBoost members to have all tools available to them.

That's why github is the best for files like this. Versioning, revision history, pull requests, etc etc.

I'm not interested in github. I'm interested in BimmerBoost and providing as many tuning resources for the BimmerBoost community as possible.

The decision was already made to host here and I will continue to do so and refine my own file system.

I'm not even asking for donations.
