I backed up an Alpina map from car. I've only modified the shift maps (shift points). I started by copying over the stock shift maps . Then over the course of a good 20 revisions over a month timespan, I tweaked all the upshift and downshift points in both D mode and S mode to what I think is perfect for a FBO car. A lot was buy paying attention to trans behavior and accel pedal % and some was based on "feel".

I also lowered the redline in D and S modes to approximately 6,400 RPMs in 1st gear and approximately 6,200 in all the other gears since the stockers are out of steam above there anyway.

At least to me, it just feels "right" and intuitive. It always feels like its in the right gear for any given situation and upshifts when it feels natural to do so and downshifts when I give it what I feel to be the appropriate of pedal input.

Be interested in feedback from anyone who tries this one out. What I did to take it a step further was I then paid xhp for a custom flash and had them copy these shift points over to stage 2 v1.1 map. So now I have the shift points exactly how I want them and the sharper, less sloppy, faster shifts of stage 2. Perfect in my opinion! Obviously try this one out to see if you like the shift points first.

There are more in depth posts that have developed on other forums with more in depth discussions of modifying the Xhp XDF. Not sure if it's good etiquette to link to those from here. I haven't checked them in a while as I'm pretty satisfied with my stage 2 with custom shift points.

I've got a DCT and so while this doesn't do much for me personally I think it's great that you shared. If I had an auto I'd be in here trying to flash already.
    Cheers fella !

Sounds good. Lemme know what you think. If you can't get the firmness dialed in for a reasonable fee you can have XHP add my shift points to their already dialed in firmness on their stage 2 or stage 3 flash.
